OverwhelmedI guess Starscream was expected as he was nearly killed 3 times and when they summoned the All-Spark, that took his and that was all that was keeping him online. If there's one thing I learned from G1 though - if they appear dead, chances are they aren't.
Now PROWL... his death was nearly out of NOWHERE. WHAT THE HELL!? PROWL.
Now Bumblebee is gunna be so lonely without his gay lovebot. D:

I mean, sure, every one.. (Except Bulkhead) seemed to get really close to death... Prime died, but came back, Bumblebee was almost dead about 5 times now, Ratchet, -BACK IN THE DAY-, but like... GAWD. xD
But yeah, you're right. Now that I think of it, there was a very subtle hint, but I never thought about it.
I also heard this is the end of animated, which kinda sucks because I seriously want to know what would happen next.
